Parents are asked not to send sick children to the child care. If a child present has a fever, we will notify the parents immediately and ask them to collect their child within two hours.

Diarrhea: In the case of an acute period of diarrhea, the child must be kept home until he/she has been symptom-free for 24 hours.

Fever: A child with a fever of more than 38ᵒC should be kept home.

Vomiting: A child who is vomiting should be kept home until vomiting has stopped for 24 hours.

Chicken pox or unexplained rash: A child with chicken pox or unexplained rash should be kept home until fully recovered.

Conjunctivitis: A child should be kept home until discharge from eyes has ceased.

Head lice: Children are checked for head lice once a month. If a child has head lice, parents are asked to keep the child absent from the child care until treatment has started and all live eggs have been removed. To prevent the spread of head lice, children’s coats and personal items such as hats, will be placed in a special bag. Parents are notified immediately.

Asthma: If a child suffers from asthma, parents are requested to supply an asthma action plan from the child’s doctor upon registration at Funtazia. Details include symptoms, signs and what medication should be used in case of an asthma attack.

Injuries: If the injury requires emergency treatment, parents will be notified immediately. If the parents cannot be reached and the child’s condition requires hospital treatment, we will contact the alarm central (112) for an ambulance to transport the child as soon as possible to the hospital.

Medication: to protect children from any incorrect administration of medication, strict policies have been developed.
